This web site is dedicated to country music lovers that really enjoy the older country songs. It's especially for those of us that are not as musically gifted as some, almost all of the lyrics on this site have relatively simple chords. So if you're looking for classic country music lyrics with chords, we may just have what you're looking for. We have many country music song lyrics with chords for your personal entertainment, if it's old, we probably have it in our collection. We realize that our beloved classic country music is disappearing, so we'd like to help keep it alive by sharing our golden oldies with you. We have spent many years building our lyric library, we enjoy them everyday and continue to add more as time goes on.

Yesteryear artists like Webb Pierce had so many great songs that's been buried, never to be heard again and I think that's tragic. Great country artists like Johnny Cash, Jim Reeves, Marty Robbins, Hank Williams, Tammy Wynette, etc. have so many wonderful songs that most of us will never hear again. If you want to listen to a classic country song, you'll have to either sing it yourself or play an old record, 8 track or cassette, as you're not likely to hear it on radio and certainly not on television.

Classic country music lyrics as well as bluegrass are available on several web sites but few offer chords, we have set chords to these old songs but can't guarantee their total accuracy, it's just how our old ears hear them. Our intent is to promote country music song lyrics in hopes that more young folks will help keep the tradition alive. If more people would take time to listen to a few of these timeless songs, I believe they would get hooked just like many of us are.

Some of the most beautiful love songs in the world are pure country, one of the best phases I've ever heard is in an old Slim Whitman song "I love you more than yesterday, but less than tomorrow" there's lots of wonderful stories told in these old tunes. For those that enjoy dancing, country music offers every beat and rhythm known to man. If you enjoy gospel music, you've got to hear Faron Young's "He'll be There", or Marty Robbin's "What God has Done", there's countless great traditional and gospel songs available, we hope you enjoy a few of these old classic country music lyrics.

Country gospel music is very popular with most of our visitors, we also enjoy doing these great old songs. We believe that worship music will always be very meaningful for most of use, just as Christmas songs are. Let music enhance your life, it's very soothing and will make you feel better.

Let me assure you that you're never too old to learn to play a musical instrument of your choice. I took my first guitar lesson when I was 56 years old, I don't play well but no one enjoys it more than I do. My bride of more than 50 years is my vocalist and what a great time we have with our classic country music song lyrics, many of them are about our age. You'll find guitar chords and lyrics for many of your favorite classic country artists for you to enjoy. Singing these vintage songs is the highlight of our day, it proves that the quote "singing makes the heart happy" is indeed a fact.
